What is AGI and how do I find it?
AGI stands for Adjusted Gross Income. If you e-file your own return, you will need to provide the AGI you reported on last year's tax return as a security measure, to prove that you are who you say you are. If you filed a tax return last year, you should be able to find your AGI on Line 11 of your tax return.
If you cannot find a copy of your tax return from last year, you should try to request a copy from the person, organization or software that helped you file the tax return. If you are still unable to get a copy of your tax return, you can request a Tax Return Transcript from the IRS at their Get Transcript page.
If you did not file a tax return last year, you should enter $0 as your AGI for 2022. If you used our GetCTC tool last year, enter $1 as your AGI for 2021.
